DUBAI: The UAE and India have signed eight preliminary agreements across critical sectors, including logistics, healthcare, infrastructure, higher education, and maritime services, during Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s official visit to India.

The deals, announced by the Dubai Media Office on Thursday, aim to deepen economic ties and foster collaboration between the two nations.Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, highlighted the strong UAE-India partnership, saying, “India and the UAE are bound by a deep-rooted friendship and a shared dedication to shaping the future through innovation, opportunity, and sustainable growth.”Among the key agreements, Dubai Chambers signed deals with leading Indian commerce groups to support business ventures and investments in both countries. The agreements outline collaboration in trade fairs, investment missions, and exhibitions to facilitate mutual growth.

DP World and Rites agreed to enhance the UAE-India Virtual Trade Corridor, focusing on multimodal logistics parks, port connectivity, and rail freight solutions to strengthen trade routes and mitigate global disruptions. Similarly, Drydocks World and Cochin Shipyard will collaborate to develop ship repair

clusters in India and advance marine engineering solutions.
