MIRANSHAH/KOHAT/KHAR: A blast in the Tapi village of the Miranshah tehsil of the North Waziristan tribal district left three women, two children dead, 14 people injured as a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami embraced martyrdom in an attack in Bajaur tribal district while two cops were injured in a hand grenade attack, officials said on Thursday.

Also, three cops sustained injuries when terrorists hurled hand grenades at them in the limits of Mills Area Police Station. 

Officials said that the cops were on a routine patrol when the terrorists targeted them with hand grenades. The terrorists escaped after an exchange of fire with the police. Meanwhile, the general secretary of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Bajaur chapter, embraced martyrdom in an attack in Inayat Killay.
