LAHORE: The Afghanistan and South African blind cricket teams arrived in Pakistan through the Torkham border and by air from Johannesburg, respectively, on Wednesday to participate in the fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup.

Afghanistan will be making their debut in the global tournament. The event is set to begin on November 23 in Lahore.

The 18-member Afghan squad, led by Captain Absin Khan, includes players such as Sardar Wali, Ghulam Rehman, and Zabihullah, among others. The team’s support staff comprises Coach Sanaullah Khan Marwat, Physiotherapist Dr. Shafiq, and Trainer Syed Jalal. Two additional players are expected to join the squad upon receiving their visas.

Meanwhile, the South African blind cricket team arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
