MULTAN: Two more victims of LPG tanker explosion in Hamidpur Kanora died, raising the death toll to eight.
The administration admitted more than thirty injured residents to Nishtar Hospital for treatment. Hospital officials confirmed the deaths of the two residents on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Amir Kareem Khan, on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, distributed financial aid checks to the victims of the accident.
Thirty-three injured individuals receiving treatment at the Burn Center, Nishtar Hospital, were each given compensation checks of Rs. 500,000.
The families of the 10 deceased victims were visited, and each received Rs. 2 million in financial assistance.
Commissioner Amir Kareem Khan said that the injured were receiving the best possible medical treatment.
He emphasized that no amount of money could compensate for the loss of human lives, but this aid was a small effort to help the victims recover.
