Gold rates up Rs200 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices rose by Rs200 per tola on Monday in the local market, following an increase in the international market. This marks a new highest rate for gold in both local and international markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, gold rates rose to Rs292,400 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs171, bringing it to Rs250,685.

In the international market, gold rates rose by $2 to $2,799 per ounce. Local market prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates. While gold prices surged, silver rates saw a decline. Silver prices decreased by Rs5 to Rs3,265 per tola, and 10-gram silver rates fell by Rs4 to Rs2,799.
