ISLAMABAD: Son of the deputy governor of Afghanistan’s Badghis province was among four Khawarij terrorists recently killed by security forces during an operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district, sources said.

According to sources, the deputy governor’s son, who was killed during a successful operation in Dera Ismail Khan’s Kulachi area a few days ago, was identified as Badaruddin alias Yousaf. The Afghan authorities have refused to receive his body despite multiple requests, the sources added.

Latest US-made night vision equipment, along with M16A4 and M24 sniper rifles, were recovered from the killed terrorists. Badaruddin was directly involved in the new wave of terrorist attacks from Afghanistan into Pakistan, sources said. Defense analysts believe the killing of Afghan deputy governor’s son is a clear evidence of nexus between Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al Khawarij.
