LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced 15 match officials for the upcoming Champions Trophy, with Ahsan Raza being the only Pakistani among the selected umpires for the tournament starting February 19.
The event, hosted by Pakistan after 28 years, will feature 12 umpires across venues in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai. Six officials from the 2017 tournament return, including Richard Kettleborough, who officiated the previous final.
Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena, holding the record for most ODIs (132) as umpire, joins veteran officials Chris Gaffaney, Richard Illingworth, Paul Reiffel, and Rod Tucker. World Cup 2023 officials Michael Gough, Adrian Holdstock, Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, Alex Wharf, and Joel Wilson complete the umpiring panel. David Boon, Ranjan Madugalle, and Andrew Pycroft will serve as match referees for the tournament running through March 9.
