KARACHI: Air Karachi, a joint venture of Karachi-based businessmen has submitted an application to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for a regular public transport (RPT) licence.

The application has been submitted to the director of air transport and ER CAA, according to a letter submitted with the authority. The application includes a detailed business plan and the required documents.

Air Karachi is committed to full compliance with the regulations and requirements set by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. The Air Karachi management requested cooperation in processing the application as soon as possible.

Air Karachi is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as of November 2024. It said that the goal of the airline is to operate as a RPT operator and aim to provide scheduled passenger and cargo services on both domestic and international routes. After receiving the RPT licence, Air Karachi will be able to start domestic flight operations.
