Meta’s popular instant-messaging app, WhatsApp, is devloping an exciting new feature that will allow users to edit sticker photos for their status updates.
The new feature is still under development as WhatsApp is actively refining it before its official release to beta testers, according to WABetaInfo.
This upcoming feature will enable users to customise the shape of their sticker photos by choosing from a variety of predefined shapes, enhancing the personalisation of their posts.
Users will be able to choose from shapes, including two rectangular formats (landscape and portrait), a square, a circle, a heart, and a star.
This variety not only adds a fun twist to status updates but also facilitates a collage-like effect, allowing users to creatively arrange multiple images within a single update.
Additionally, the circular, heart, and star shapes are designed for decorative purposes rather than purely functional ones, allowing users to add a more artistic and visually appealing touch to their sticker photos.
For example, users might choose the heart shape to highlight a romantic moment or the star shape to make a particular image stand out. The circular shape could be useful for profile-like cutouts or drawing attention to a specific part of an image.
Users can adapt their sticker photos to suit various themes, moods, and storytelling styles in the future with the help of these different shapes.
