PESHAWAR: Members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), along with provincial cabinet members, staged a protest rally to demand the release of party’s founder chairman Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.
The demonstrators also called for the allocation of reserved assembly seats and representation in the Senate.
The rally, organised by PTI, began from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and culminated at the Peshawar High Court. The participants, including PTI provincial assembly members, ministers, advisors, and party leaders, were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans in support of their demands. They were chanting slogans in support of their demand.
Addressing the protesters, PTI leaders demanded the release of Imran Khan, her spouse Bushra Bibi, allocation of reserved seats in the provincial assembly and fair representation in the Senate. The leaders said that they would not remain silent and continue their protests till the acceptance of their demands.
