RAWALPINDI. The Special Anti-Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi on Wednesday barred the entry of Mashal Yousafzai – the lawyer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi — in the GHQ attack case. The court also sent a reference to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar for misrepresentation.

Conducting hearing inside Adiala jail, the court recorded the statement of 13th prosecution witness, Constable Khurram Ali, who stated that sticks and petrol bombs were used to attack police station.

It directed that USBs of video evidence be given to the accused. The court also dismissed acquittal applications of three accused Nasir Mahfouz, Omar Satti and Saad Siraj, while it sought a response from the jail superintendent on the application of Bushra Bibi regarding permission to watch the trial. After recording the statement of the prosecution witness, the court adjourned the hearing till February 1.
