LAHORE: With the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL-10) set to begin on April 11, comprehensive security arrangements have been implemented in host cities Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
Army personnel and Rangers have been deployed to ensure the safety of players, officials, and spectators throughout the tournament. According to Punjab Home Department spokesperson, security operations will involve one wing of the Rangers and two companies of the Pakistan Army in each city.
SSG commandos and Army Aviation helicopters have been requested to enhance the security measures. The deployment of personnel will extend from April 6 to May 19, covering the tournament’s duration, with matches scheduled between April 11 and May 18. The PSL’s 10th edition is expected to feature renowned international cricketers and match officials, drawing significant public attention and requiring robust security protocols. A formal request for these arrangements has been sent to the Federal Ministry of Interior, reinforcing the government’s commitment to a safe and successful event.
