FBL to support financial literacy week

KARACHI: Faysal Bank Limited (FBL) is set to actively support the State Bank of Pakistan’s Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025, themed ‘Financial literacy through collaboration and innovation’, taking place from April 14 to 18, 2025, a statement said on Wednesday.

With a strong commitment to empowering underserved communities through financial education and fostering financial inclusion across the country, the bank will be participating in a nationwide initiative aligned with the SBP’s vision. FBL has planned an exciting week of activities aimed at engaging and educating people about the importance of financial literacy.

During the week, the bank will be hosting a series of financial literacy events in key districts, including interactive camps offering services like account openings, digital banking demonstrations and the distribution of educational materials. Workshops and awareness sessions will also be held for students, young people, women, and persons with special abilities.

In addition, the SBP’s Banking Services Corporation offices, in collaboration with all banks, will organise a financial literacy walk across 15 major cities, in which Faysal Bank will also actively participate.

Commenting on the upcoming initiative, President and CEO of Faysal Bank Yousaf Hussain said, “Financial literacy is the cornerstone of a resilient and inclusive economy. The PFLW is a commendable initiative to empower individuals to make informed financial decisions, fostering long-term economic stability. At a time when digital finance and economic complexity are rapidly evolving, such efforts are not just important — they are essential. We fully support this week and look forward to seeing its positive impact across communities.”
