KARACHI: Ghani Glass’ Haseeb-ur-Rehman took 6 wicket for the loss of 48 runs as Higher Education’s team was bowled out for 140 runs in the first innings in President’s Trophy Grade-1 tournament match here at the UBL Sports Complex.
Mohsin Khan scored 55 runs. Other highlights of first day of the third round were centuries by SNGPL’s Saad Khan and PTV’s Muhammad Shahzad. At the end of the game, Ghani Glass scored 179 runs for 9 wickets in their first innings. Sharjeel Khan, batting aggressively, scored 75 runs off 83 balls. Muhammad Azab took 5 wickets for 51 runs.
At the KCCA Stadium, OGDCL batted first against Wapda and scored 265 for 5. Sardar Hassan Raza scored 81. Abdul Rehman Muzammil played an innings of 68 runs. At the State Bank Ground, PTV team was bowled out for 335 runs in the first innings against KRL. Muhammad Shahzad scored 129 runs with the help of 13 fours and 4 sixes. Taimur Khan played an innings of 52 runs. Rohan Qadri, Ahmed Bashir and Arshadullah took three wickets each. KRL were 3-1 at the end of the game.
At the NBP Sports Complex, SNGPL team was bowled out for 242 runs in the first innings against State Bank. SNGPL started disappointingly as first three batters Abid Ali, Shahzeb Khan and Umair Bin Yousuf were out without scoring a run.
Saad Khan and Arafat Minhas added 120 runs for the sixth wicket. Saad Khan scored 117 runs. Arafat Minhas played an innings of 71 runs. Kashif Bhatti took 3 wickets. State Bank were 71-2 at end of the game. Imran Butt was not out on 49 and Umar Amin was not out on 16 runs.
