KARACHI: The highlight of the second day of the eighth round of the President’s Trophy Grade One was the century of Imam-ul-Haq of PTV and the excellent performance of Mir Hamza of Ghani Glass, who took 6 wickets.

OGDCL were bowled out for 278 runs in the first innings against PTV at the NBP Sports Complex. Khayyam Khan remained not out on 89 runs. Imad Butt took 5 wickets for 82 runs. PTV scored 273 runs for 9 wickets in their first innings. Imam-ul-Haq scored 158 runs with the help of 18 fours.

Mushtaq Kalhoro took 5 wickets for 86 runs. At the UBL Sports Complex, Ghani Glass have been given a target of 153 runs to win by State Bank. By the end of the game, they had scored 103 runs for 3 wickets. Sharjeel Khan is not out after scoring 61 runs. Thus, Ghani Glass need 50 more runs to win.

Earlier, Ghani Glass were bowled out for 204 runs in the first innings and then State Bank’s team was also bowled out for 123 runs in its second innings. Mir Hamza took 6 wickets for 41 runs. He took 8 wickets in the match. Obaid Shah took 4 wickets for 30 runs, thus taking 9 wickets in the match.

At the State Bank Stadium, KRL were dismissed for 353 runs in the first innings against Eshal Associates. Tahir Hussain took 5 wickets for 112 runs. Eshal Associates were dismissed for 199 runs. Umar Siddique scored 66 runs. Arshadullah took 5 wickets for 43 runs. KRL had scored 12 runs for one wicket in the second innings by the end of play.
