LAHORE: The exciting second-day competitions of the Inter-Division phase of the Khelta Punjab Games 2024-25 were held at various venues of the Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Friday.

The event witnessed thrilling matches and an impressive display of athleticism by over 2,000 male and female athletes from nine divisions, competing in 12 sports disciplines.

Results of Friday’s competitions:

Boys 100m Race: Uzair (Bahawalpur) took first place, followed by M Pervez (Lahore) second, and M Sajid (Multan) in third.

Boys 800m Race: M Raza (Sahiwal) won, with Arsalan Ahmed (Sargodha) and M Zubair (Gujranwala) finishing second and third, respectively.

Girls 100m Race: Khaula (Rawalpindi) secured first place, followed by Khadija (Lahore) in second, and Malaika (Gujranwala) in third.

Girls 800m Race: Bushra Farman (DG Khan) emerged victorious, with Mubeen Yasin (Sahiwal) and Nazia Ehsan (Sargodha) securing the second and third spots.

Men’s 200m Race: Faisal (Faisalabad) took first place, with Sharjeel (Lahore) and Mujahid (Multan) following in second and third.

Girls’ Javelin Throw: Khadija (Faisalabad) clinched first place, Yusra Ayub (Lahore) second, and Sania (Gujranwala) third.

Boys’ Javelin Throw: Arham (Faisalabad) secured first place, followed by Arslan Ahmed (DG Khan) and Kashif Ali (Gujranwala) in second and third, respectively.

Basketball : Boys’ Event: Multan beat DG Khan 43-16; Lahore beat Bahawalpur 48-30;

Faisalabad beat Sahiwal 57-17; Sargodha beat Rawalpindi 77-15.

Girls’ Event: Multan beat DG Khan 23-4; Lahore defeated Bahawalpur 58-14.

Volleyball Competitions:Boys’ Event: Sahiwal defeated Bahawalpur 2-0; Faisalabad beat Rawalpindi 2-0; Gujranwala beat Multan 2-0.
