LALAMUSA: Thirty-six individuals named in the murder case of Azhar Hussain, a security guard at the Punjab College, were on Tuesday granted bail after the heirs of the deceased pardoned them. The incident, which occurred on October 16, involved violent clashes between students and security guards that resulted in the death of Azhar, a resident of Gondal Sharif.
Gujrat Additional Sessions Judge Javed Akram approved the bail applications of the accused who had been detained following the incident. Each accused was released on personal bonds of Rs 100,000.
The decision came after the deceased’s family, including his widow Bushra Bibi and children Mazhar Abbas and Umm-e-Habiba, submitted notarized consent forms to the court, formally pardoning all the accused.
