LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to host the ICC Champions Trophy, promising comprehensive security measures for all participating teams.

During discussions with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Chairman Richard Thompson, Naqvi emphasised Pakistan’s commitment to delivering a world-class tournament. “Teams will be accorded state guest protocol,” he stated, adding, “We are actively upgrading our stadiums to ensure they are ready well ahead of the event.”

In response, Thompson expressed his support and extended his best wishes to Naqvi and the PCB. Reflecting on England’s recent tour to Pakistan, he remarked, “The tour was a tremendous success.” He also conveyed his board’s gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to the English team during their stay in Pakistan.
