LAHORE: Pakistan’s volleyball team made a dominant start in the CAVA Nation’s League 2025, securing a commanding 3-0 victory against Kyrgyzstan. The event, being held in Fergana, Uzbekistan, has already delivered intense matchups and high-energy performances, informed a Pakistan Volleyball official.

Pakistan’s straight-set win—with scores of 25-15, 25-14, and 25-19—showcased exceptional teamwork, skill, and discipline. Leading the charge were Usman Faryad Ali, Afaq Khan, Murad Khan, Kashif Naveed, Nasir Ali, Abdul Zaheer, and Musawer Khan, all of whom contributed to the team’s dominant display on the court.

The victory sets Pakistan on a strong path as they aim to defend their gold medal, won in the previous edition of the CAVA Nation’s League. The tournament’s first day featured three gripping matches, with Iran defeating India (3-1), Kyrgyzstan securing a victory over Kazakhstan (3-1), and Turkmenistan overcoming hosts Uzbekistan (3-1). Looking ahead, Pakistan will face Kazakhstan on May 31, followed by crucial encounters between Turkmenistan and India, and Uzbekistan and Iran.
