LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed plans to conduct a 7 to 10 day training camp in South Africa ahead of the Test series against the Proteas. The camp aims to acclimatise players to local conditions and sharpen their skills for the crucial matches.

The camp, exclusively for Test specialists, will take place following the conclusion of Pakistan’s white-ball series in South Africa. According to PCB sources, the initiative is designed to provide ample preparation time for players to adapt to South Africa’s pitches and playing conditions.

Pakistan’s tour of South Africa kicks off with a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series from December 10 to December 22. Many of the Test squad members, who are also part of the white-ball setup, will already be in South Africa, ensuring a seamless transition into the training camp. The Test series begins with the first Test at Centurion’s SuperSport Park on December 26. The second Test will be played at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town, starting January 3, 2025.
