PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Saturday extended the protective bail granted to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur until December 17.
The court also directed authorities not to arrest the chief minister in any registered cases during this period. In a brief one-page written order issued after the hearing, the court accepted the request by the deputy attorney general, who presented letters sent to Punjab and Islamabad administrations seeking details of cases against the petitioner. The deputy attorney general requested the court to adjourn the proceedings to gather and submit comprehensive details of the cases at the next hearing.
Granting the request, the court postponed the hearing to December 17 and extended the chief minister’s protective bail until the same date. The court ordered the relevant authorities not to arrest him in any pending or new case during this period.
