KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) conducted a consultation session to deliberate proposed amendments to the PSX Regulations, aimed at introducing further reforms to the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) Board of the PSX. The session, held both in-person at the PSX’s Karachi premises and virtually, brought together key industry stakeholders, including Consultants to the Issue and securities brokers.

The session was led by MD & CEO of PSX Farrukh H. Sabzwari, Chief Regulatory Officer Ajeet Kumar and Chief Listing Officer Syed Ahmad Abbas.The proposed regulatory changes aim to increase liquidity and trading activities on the GEM Board by encouraging greater market participation.

The consultative session provided a platform for relevant stakeholders to share their feedback and suggestions on the proposed reforms. Engaging with market participants is a critical step in ensuring that the regulatory framework aligns with the evolving needs of the market and supports the growth of emerging enterprises. The comments submission period is still open for all concerned to file their feedback and suggestions for consideration of the PSX.
