KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori said that there was a time when no team — cricket, football, and hockey — was formed without the representation of Sindh.
Most players were from Karachi. But the neglect of the players in Karachi has led to disillusionment among them which has resulted in youngsters drifting away from the game and the fields becoming desolate. Now is the time to populate our fields once again so that players of Sindh can showcase their talents at national and international level.
Governor Sindh expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of sports lovers. The delegation included Secretary General of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation, senior sports journalist Asghar Azeem, sports organiser Muhammad Naseem, former director of KDA Sports Ayaz Munshi and Javed Irshad.
