KARACHI: Super Kings defeate United Thunders by five wickets in the last match of round 3 of AKG Premier League Season 2 Cricket Tournament at the AKG Ground in Karachi.

Friends United beat Aziz Damani by 26 runs. United Thunders batted first and the entire team was dismissed for 112 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Javed Mansoor was the top scorer with 46 runs off 35 balls, hitting five fours.

Mohammad Isa performed excellently with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 21 runs. Imran Mehboob and Sabir Khan took two wickets each. Super Kings chased down the target of 113 runs in 17.5 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Khurram Shehzad was the top scorer for the winning team with 39 runs off 32 balls, including 5 fours.

Amin Akbar Ali scored an unbeaten 23 runs off 19 balls with 2 fours. Saleem Aman contributed 19 runs with 3 fours, while Sami Saleem Ladhya made 19 runs. Left-arm spinner Rahim Suleman took 3 wickets for 16 runs.

Muhammad Isa was the Man of the Match. In the second match, Friends United scored 181 for three. Rohil Javaid scored 55 off 39 balls with seven boundaries and one six.

Skipper Murtaza Maajid contributed unbeaten 47 off 36 balls with four fours and a six. Shoaib Bashir made 33 off 22 with five fours while Kamram Wali scored 24 off 13 balls with three fours. Nabil Rehmat took 2-21.

In response, Aziz Damani managed 155-9 in 20 overs. Skipper Mir Afzal Baig scored 33 off 23 balls with three sixes and two fours. Irfan Rehmat made 29 off 17 balls with five fours and one six.

Irfan Ali scored 23 off 27 balls with two fours. Fayyaz Hussain captured 2-18, Inshall 2-19, Kamram Wali 2-27. Rohil Javaid was the player of the match.
